Bryan issued statement after JPMorgan agreed to $75 million Epstein lawsuit settlement
Gov. Albert Bryan Jr. issued a statement on Sept. 26, 2023, after JPMorgan Chase agreed to pay $75 million to settle a lawsuit filed by the Virgin Islands government over the bank's dealings with Jeffrey Epstein.
In the statement, Bryan said the settlement required JPMorgan to implement anti-trafficking measures aimed at detecting and reporting financial patterns associated with human trafficking.
Bryan also thanked the Virgin Islands Department of Justice legal team and others involved in the case.
