Groundbreaking set for aquaponics center at Estate Bethlehem on St. Croix
Government House announced on June 23, 2020, that a groundbreaking ceremony was scheduled for 11 a.m. on June 26, 2020, at Estate Bethlehem on St. Croix for an Aquaponics Production & Training Center.
The event was to include Gov. Albert Bryan Jr. and FreshMinistries founder and chief executive the Rev. Dr. Robert V. Lee III.
According to the announcement, the Estate Bethlehem project was part of FreshMinistries' Desmond Tutu Program to End Global Hunger. Government House said FreshMinistries had received a $2 million grant from the U.S. Department of Commerce's Economic Development Administration to build the center.
