Bryan issued condolences after death of St. Croix-born jockey Euclyn "Pede" Prentice

Gov. Albert Bryan Jr. issued a condolence statement on May 28, 2019, following the death of St. Croix-born jockey Euclyn "Pede" Prentice.

Government House said Prentice, 28, died on May 27, 2019, in Kentucky in a car crash following a collision with a transit bus after midnight, citing Cincinnati's Belterra Park.

The statement said Prentice had won more than 250 North American races.

Bryan offered condolences to Prentice's family and friends and said his death would be felt across the Virgin Islands.
