Bryan issued Labor Day statement on Sept. 6, 2021
Gov. Albert Bryan Jr. issued a Labor Day statement on Sept. 6, 2021, recognizing workers in the U.S. Virgin Islands.
In the statement, Bryan said Labor Day honored working Virgin Islanders and referenced the territory’s labor history, including efforts by earlier generations to secure fair wages, workplace safety and collective bargaining rights.
He also said his administration remained committed during a period of uncertainty to providing support and relief to workers and families.
