$25 Million in Income Tax Refunds Mailed to Virgin Islanders
Government House said on December 13, 2021, that the Virgin Islands government had mailed $25 million in income tax refunds.
Communications Director Richard Motta Jr. said during the weekly Government House press briefing that the refund run included 10,220 checks, most covering tax year 2020.
Government House also said Gov. Albert Bryan Jr. expected the government to become current on outstanding income tax refunds in 2022.
At the same briefing, Motta said Gov. Bryan and Lt. Gov. Tregenza A. Roach asked Virgin Islanders to pray for people affected by tornadoes that struck six states over the weekend.
