Finance Commissioner Kevin McCurdy and Agriculture Commissioner Dr. Louis Petersen Jr. sworn in on St. Thomas

Finance Commissioner Kevin G. McCurdy and Agriculture Commissioner Dr. Louis E. Petersen Jr. were sworn in on St. Thomas on Feb. 28, 2024, according to Government House.

The ceremony was held at Columban Hall of Holy Family Church. Family members, colleagues, supporters and friends attended.

Government House said Gov. Albert Bryan Jr. also recognized Moleto Smith, the recently appointed executive director of the Law Enforcement Planning Commission, during the ceremony by securing Cabinet-level gold pins to the officials' lapels.

According to photo captions released with the announcement, Petersen took the oath of office as his mother, Joyce Petersen, held the Bible, and McCurdy was administered the oath by Rhys Hodge.
