The Virgin Islands Water and Power Authority and the St. Croix Community Foundation restored lighting in Time Square in Christiansted in December 2020, ending what the release said had been more than two years without lights in the area, also known as Sunday Market Square.

WAPA said the foundation had contacted the utility for help restoring previously installed lights. The authority said it sent line crews, electricians and other personnel to assess and repair the system.

According to the release, more than $4,000 in equipment was replaced. WAPA said it provided the labor for the project.
