Mapp nominates Averil George as Labor commissioner

Gov. Kenneth E. Mapp nominated Averil George on Aug. 1, 2018, to serve as commissioner of the Virgin Islands Department of Labor.

George had served as acting commissioner since her appointment on June 25, 2018.

In a nomination letter to Senate President Myron Jackson, Mapp asked the 32nd Legislature for its advice and consent on George's nomination.
