Bryan ordered Virgin Islands flags flown at half-staff for Athniel "Addie" Ottley

Gov. Albert Bryan Jr. ordered Virgin Islands flags to be flown at half-staff from sunrise on Monday, Feb. 28, 2022, through sunset on Friday, March 4, 2022, in honor of Athniel "Addie" Ottley.

Government House said Ottley, a former senator and lieutenant governor, would be honored with a memorial service on Tuesday, March 1, 2022, at the University of the Virgin Islands' Orville E. Kean Campus on St. Thomas.

On Wednesday, March 2, 2022, Ottley was scheduled to lie in state at the Legislature on St. Thomas and later at Government House before interment at Eastern Cemetery that afternoon.

Government House also said a road at Pueblo in Sub Base on St. Thomas would be named in Ottley's honor on Thursday, March 3, 2022.
