Office of Disaster Recovery program featured WAPA and Public Works utility coordination projects

The Office of Disaster Recovery said an episode of its television program "Recovery in Focus" was scheduled to air on August 31, 2023, featuring the Virgin Islands Water and Power Authority and the Department of Public Works.
According to the announcement, the episode was to air at 8 p.m. on WTJX-TV Channel 12 and online through WTJX's Facebook page.
The August 2023 program was described as including updates on coordination projects involving WAPA and Public Works. The release said WAPA officials Kimberly Slodden, water systems manager of design and construction, and Chavanté Marsh, power systems director of project management, discussed completed and planned waterline replacement, expansion and undergrounding projects across the territory.
Public Works Commissioner Derek Gabriel was also listed as providing an update on road projects and discussing the agency's role in utility coordination efforts. The program was hosted by Office of Disaster Recovery Director Adrienne L. Williams-Octalien.
