The Virgin Islands Water and Power Authority said on August 2, 2023, that a scheduled St. Thomas power outage had been moved to Friday, August 4, 2023, affecting about 1,998 customers on Feeder 7A.

WAPA said customers were expected to experience a temporary service interruption at about 9 a.m. on August 4 for one hour so Feeder 7A could be de-energized while contractors continued commissioning work on the Wartsila project on St. Thomas.

The affected areas were Lilliendal & Marienhoj, Elizabeth, St. Peter, Misgunst, Upper John Dunko, Contant, Solberg, Annas Fancy, Lerkenlund and Mafolie.
