Bryan opened final Clinton Global Initiative session at UVI
Gov. Albert Bryan Jr. opened the final plenary session of the Clinton Global Initiative Action Network symposium at the University of the Virgin Islands on June 4, 2019, according to Government House.
Government House said Bryan used the session to discuss resilience and new approaches to disaster response and recovery in the Virgin Islands, including the role of internet access alongside ports, airports and energy infrastructure.
He also thanked the Clinton Foundation and the Clinton Global Initiative Action Network for work aimed at helping the territory and the Caribbean prepare for future emergencies.
Government House said Bryan described the symposium as a forum for participants to develop ideas intended to make disaster recovery easier and to address issues shared across the Caribbean.
