WAPA lifted boil-water advisories in both districts
The Virgin Islands Water and Power Authority said on September 10, 2019, that boil-water advisories issued after Hurricane Dorian on St. Thomas and St. John, and after a potable water service interruption in Frederiksted Town on St. Croix, had been lifted.
WAPA Chief Operating Officer for the water system Noel Hodge said water quality lab technicians in both districts monitored the potable water system for the required 72-hour period and concluded that the water being distributed continued to meet drinking water standards.
