Bryan names Lisa Alejandro acting Property and Procurement commissioner

Gov. Albert Bryan Jr. named Lisa Alejandro acting commissioner of the Department of Property and Procurement on Feb. 14 after accepting the resignation of Commissioner Anthony Thomas.

Alejandro had been serving as assistant commissioner of the department. Government House said she had more than 27 years of experience in inventory management and procurement, including 17 years in government procurement.

In her role as assistant commissioner, Alejandro functioned as chief procurement officer and oversaw the territory’s procurement, central stores and warehousing, and vendor maintenance divisions through the Office of Procurement, Contract Management and Reporting, according to Government House.

Government House said Alejandro holds a master’s degree in operations management and is a certified Contracting Officer Representative.
