Bryan names Julien Henley territorial ADA coordinator
Gov. Albert Bryan Jr. announced on Feb. 22, 2019, that Julien Henley had been named the Virgin Islands' territorial Americans with Disabilities Act coordinator.
Government House said Henley was an advocate at the Virgin Islands Disability Rights Center and chair of the State Rehabilitation Council. It said he also served on the board of the Virgin Islands University Center of Excellence in Developmental Disabilities, was a member of the Workforce Investment Board, and volunteered on the advocacy committee of AARP Virgin Islands.
The ADA coordinator is responsible for ensuring the territory's compliance with the Americans with Disabilities Act of 1990 and the federal Rehabilitation Act of 1973, according to the announcement.
