Bryan led U.S. Virgin Islands delegation to New York meetings on economic cooperation
Gov. Albert Bryan Jr. was scheduled to lead a U.S. Virgin Islands delegation to New York on March 24, 2023, for meetings with New York Stock Exchange senior management and other public- and private-sector representatives, according to Government House.
Government House said the meetings were intended to discuss economic cooperation between the territory and New York business interests. Bryan also was scheduled to take part in a U.S. Virgin Islands-New York summit organized by the St. Croix Economic Development Initiative.
The release said New York City Mayor Eric Adams, members of his administration, other city officials and business stakeholders were expected to host Bryan during the summit.
Bryan also was scheduled to participate in the signing of a memorandum of understanding with the Brooklyn Chamber of Commerce and the Greater New York Chamber of Commerce concerning business exchanges between New York and the U.S. Virgin Islands.
Government House said some of the topics for the New York meetings included international trade, commerce, capital finance and investment, transportation logistics, tourism, and education and workforce development.
