Bryan congratulated Senator-elect Raphael Warnock in Jan. 6 statement

Gov. Albert Bryan Jr. on Jan. 6 issued a statement congratulating Senator-elect Raphael Warnock on his election to the U.S. Senate from Georgia.

In the statement, Bryan said he was joining others in congratulating Warnock on becoming the first African American U.S. senator from Georgia. He also said Virgin Islanders in Georgia were among the voters who helped elect Warnock.

Bryan said he looked forward to working with President-elect Joe Biden and a Democratic Congress.
