The Virgin Islands Water and Power Authority said on December 14, 2023, that it would hold a virtual town hall for St. Croix business owners on December 20, 2023, from 10 a.m. to 11:30 a.m.
WAPA said the session would include updates on the Environmental Protection Agency’s November sequential water sampling results, the utility’s response to red and brown water complaints, and plans to improve water quality on St. Croix and across the territory.
The authority said representatives from the Virgin Islands departments of Health and Planning and Natural Resources, along with other government agencies, would participate. WAPA also said American Sign Language interpretation and closed captioning would be available.
According to the notice, additional community town halls were planned for January 2024.
