WAPA customer service offices across U.S. Virgin Islands were set to close May 1

The Virgin Islands Water and Power Authority said on April 28, 2020, that its customer service offices across the territory would be closed on Friday, May 1, 2020, in observance of the date of the 2020 Carnival Children’s Parade.

WAPA said non-essential employees would receive administrative leave under a gubernatorial proclamation.

The authority said customers could still make payments online, by phone, through Auto Pay, at the self-service payment kiosk at Petrus Plaza on St. Thomas, or by depositing a check or postal money order in drop boxes at customer service locations in Sunny Isle on St. Croix, The Marketplace on St. John, and Port of Sale Mall on St. Thomas.

WAPA said normal business hours would resume on Monday, May 4, 2020.
