33rd Legislature unanimously approved VITEMA director and DLCA commissioner nominees

The 33rd Legislature on June 25, 2019, unanimously approved the nominations of Daryl Jaschen as director of the Virgin Islands Territorial Emergency Management Agency and Richard Tomas Evangelista as commissioner of the Department of Licensing and Consumer Affairs.

The vote was 12-0 during the Legislature's session on St. Thomas. Sens. Alicia Barnes, Marvin Blyden and Dwayne DeGraff were absent.

Government House said both nominees were to be sworn in at a later date.
