Bryan met with FEMA officials on school and hospital rebuilding

Gov. Albert Bryan Jr., Office of Disaster Director Adrienne Williams-Octalien and Virgin Islands Housing Finance Authority Executive Director Daryl Griffith met with FEMA Acting Administrator Peter Gaynor and other FEMA officials in Washington on Oct. 30, 2019, to receive an update on FEMA approval of industry standards for rebuilding the territory’s schools and the Juan F. Luis Hospital on St. Croix.

The group also discussed timelines for payments to Sheltering and Temporary Essential Power contractors and the territory’s cost-share waiver.

Government House said Bryan’s chief of staff, Karl Knight, and other senior staff also attended the meeting.
