Virgin Islands launches public transparency website for government finances
The Office of Management and Budget announced on April 11, 2019, the launch of a government transparency website at http://transparency.vi.gov.
According to the announcement, the site provides a public database of territorial revenues and expenditures in accordance with Title 3, Chapter 33, Section 881a of the Virgin Islands Code.
The website was described as retaining information for each fiscal year and including links for Virgin Islands government agencies. The database includes appropriations, expenditures and uses of public funds; receipts of federal and public funds; annual government expenditures or funding actions provided to entities, recipients or agencies; local aid to each department; and annual revenues.
