WAPA contractor scheduled test-pit drilling for underground electrical route on St. John
The Virgin Islands Water and Power Authority said on February 26, 2021, that a contractor was set to begin drilling test pits for an electrical underground route on St. John on March 1, 2021.
According to the archived release, the test holes were intended to locate and determine the depth of existing underground facilities, including potable water, wastewater and telecommunications lines. The authority said the test-digging work was scheduled from 7:30 a.m. to 5 p.m.
The release said trenching for the underground route would not begin until all permits were finalized.
