WAPA scheduled water service interruption for parts of St. Croix on Oct. 6, 2019
The Virgin Islands Water and Power Authority said work at two St. Croix pump stations was scheduled to cause reduced water pressure or potable water service interruptions in several areas on Sunday, Oct. 6, 2019.
According to the notice, Water Division personnel planned upgrades at the Contentment pump station and the replacement of two 10-inch valves at the pump station in Estate Richmond. The work was scheduled to begin at 6 a.m. and continue until completed.
WAPA said the affected areas were Aldersville, Orange Grove, Golden Rock, Castle Coakley, Richmond, Humbug, Catherine’s Rest, Contentment, Peters Rest and higher-elevation areas of Sion Farm.
