WAPA governing board scheduled Jan. 24 meeting on St. Thomas

The Virgin Islands Water and Power Authority said its governing board was scheduled to hold its regular monthly meeting on Jan. 24, 2019, at 9:30 a.m. at the authority’s Al Cohen Administrative Office on St. Thomas.

The agenda listed Planning and Economic Development Committee action items including approval of Change Order No. 4 for the Pressure Management IIB Orange Grove 24-inch water line installation and PRV stations; funding for emergency replacement of the damaged E-T2 MVA power transformer; a cost increase and eighth time extension for Sulzer Turbo Services Inc. contract SC-63-14; and an amendment to the temporary power rental agreement between WAPA and Aggreko LLC to replace a bank payment guaranty requirement with an advance payment guarantee.

The agenda also included Finance and Audit Committee items, the executive director’s report, and an executive session for legal and personnel matters.
