St. Croix WAPA customer service office closed on Oct. 29 for inspection

The Virgin Islands Water and Power Authority said its customer service office in Sunny Isle on St. Croix was closed on Monday, Oct. 29, 2018, while an inspection of the building continued.

WAPA said the building had been closed to employees over the weekend for industrial cleaning and inspection. The cleaning had been completed, and the contractor expected to finish the inspection by 1 p.m. on Oct. 29, after which employees could return to their offices.

The authority said regular operating hours were scheduled to resume on Tuesday, Oct. 30, 2018, at 7:30 a.m.

While the office was closed, WAPA said customers could still make payments online, by phone, at local Banco Popular and First Bank branches, by mail, or by using drop boxes at WAPA business offices. Calls to 773-2250 also remained available during the closure, the authority said.
