Road closure scheduled on St. Croix for Golden Grove underground project on February 5, 2023

The Virgin Islands Water and Power Authority said a road closure was scheduled on St. Croix for February 5, 2023, at the intersection of Route 669 and Centerline Road near Spicy Grill as part of the Golden Grove Underground Project.
WAPA said the closure was set to run from 8 a.m. to 3 p.m. Both lanes were scheduled to be closed from 8 a.m. to 11 a.m., with one lane closed from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m.
Motorists were advised to use Melvin Evans Highway as an alternate route. WAPA said traffic signs, roadblocks and flaggers would be in place.
The closure was planned to allow Vivot Construction to pull cables for the Golden Grove undergrounding project.
