Mapp recognizes Older Americans Month and Emergency Medical Services Week

Gov. Kenneth E. Mapp issued proclamations recognizing Older Americans Month and Emergency Medical Services Week in May 2018.

Government House said the Department of Human Services marked Older Americans Month with a dedication ceremony for its senior transportation fleet. The department said the buses would be used to transport seniors to recreational and educational activities, and that three new Meals on Wheels mini cargo vans would also be put into service.

The proclamation declared May 2018 as Older Americans Month in the Virgin Islands. Emergency Medical Services Week was recognized for May 20-26, 2018.
