WAPA scheduled St. John electrical outage for January 27
The Virgin Islands Water and Power Authority said it scheduled an electrical service interruption on St. John for Saturday, January 27, 2024, from 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.
WAPA said customers on feeders 7E and 9B were expected to lose service for about eight hours while crews conducted troubleshooting, testing and repairs to a transmission line.
The utility said the affected areas included Annaberg, Bordeaux Mountain, Canel Bay, Coral Bay, Cruz Bay, East End, Estate Carolina, Gallows Point, Hansen’s Bay, Lameshur Bay, Maho Bay Estate, Mongoose Junction, North Side, Peter Bay, Bordeaux, Centerline Road, Chocolate Hole, Contant, Enighed, Fish Bay, Pastory, Rendezvous, Southside, Starfish Market and Westin Resorts.
