Bryan announces administrative leave schedule for 2024 Virgin Islands Carnival
Gov. Albert Bryan Jr. announced on April 25, 2024, that non-essential Executive Branch employees would receive administrative leave on three dates during the 2024 Virgin Islands Carnival, with government offices closed during those periods.
On Wednesday, May 1, 2024, non-essential Executive Branch employees on St. Thomas and St. John were granted administrative leave from 1 p.m. to 5 p.m. for the Food Fair.
On Thursday, May 2, 2024, non-essential Executive Branch employees on St. Thomas and St. John were granted administrative leave from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. for J’Ouvert.
On Friday, May 3, 2024, non-essential Executive Branch employees territory-wide were granted administrative leave from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. for the Children’s Parade.
