Bryan names Rupert O. Ross director of Bureau of Information Technology

Gov. Albert Bryan Jr. announced on June 5, 2019, that Rupert O. Ross was named director of the Virgin Islands Bureau of Information Technology.

Ross was serving as chief information technology officer at the Judicial Branch of the Virgin Islands at the time of the announcement. Government House said he previously served as director of information technology at the Virgin Islands Department of Labor and worked there for 25 years in various roles.

Government House said Ross was scheduled to replace Acting Director Angelo Riddick on June 17, 2019. Network Systems Manager Mark Bough was to serve as acting director until then.

According to Government House, Ross holds a Bachelor of Arts degree from the University of the Virgin Islands with a concentration in management information systems and is a Certified Public Manager.
