The U.S. Virgin Islands Department of Tourism, in collaboration with the Division of Festivals, proudly announces a spectacular lineup for the 72nd St. Thomas Carnival Village, ensuring a celebration like no other.

This year’s Carnival will sparkle with performances from Caribbean luminaries such as Shaggy, Patrice Roberts, Sizzla Kalonji, Kes, and Machel Montano starting April 29, promising to deliver electrifying energy to the festivities.

Commissioner Joseph Boschulte of the Department of Tourism conveyed his excitement for the event, emphasizing its significance in highlighting the U.S. Virgin Islands’ rich cultural tapestry. “This year’s St. Thomas Carnival is eagerly anticipated, showcasing our vibrant culture through the illustrious nightly performances of our Village,” shared Commissioner Boschulte.

Ian Turnbull, the Division of Festivals’ director, underscored the festival’s dedication to celebrating the rich heritage of the Virgin Islands and the broader Caribbean region. “Our annual celebrations are a tribute to the rich tapestry of Virgin Islands and Caribbean culture, welcoming both residents and visitors to immerse themselves in our traditions,” he remarked.

The event will be further enhanced by performances from Haitian kompa band VAYB, Dominican salsa ensemble Chiquito Team Band, and first-time participants in the territory such as TeeJay, Jada Kingdom, and Kollision Band. Seasoned performers Edwin Yearwood, Krosfyah, and Grandmasters are also set to return, ensuring a diverse and immersive musical journey.

This year introduces the inaugural Kids Night Out Village Night, a family-centric evening filled with activities including the Toddlers Derby, Best Dressed Doll competition, and performances tailored to young carnival-goers by TMK and OTB.
