Water operations and maintenance crews worked overnight and through the early morning hours of today to make repairs to a compromised ten-inch water main near the Veterans Drive pedestrian bridge. The damaged line was repaired but additional leaks became evident once the water system was re-pressurized, requiring crews to isolate the leaking sections of the pipe and continue repairs. While work continues to address the leaking line, customers from the One Stop Convenience Store / Cancryn Junior School intersection to Petrus Plaza will experience a water service interruption.  Additionally, motorists are advised that one of the west-bound lanes near the work area will be closed to vehicular traffic until repair work is completed. Motorists travelling west on Veterans Drive should proceed with caution while approaching the work area.
