VIPD Suspects Foul Play After Decomposing Body of Woman is Found Disposed in Bushes in Estate Glynn
ST. CROIX — The V.I. Police Department said in a release Tuesday night that the decomposing body of a female found disposed in bushes in Estate Glynn is suspected to be foul play, suggesting the victim was possibly murdered.
According to the release, the body was found Tuesday morning on Midland Road in the vicinity of the Moravian Church in Estate Glynn. It was found by an individual who told police he went off the road to urinate and observed a decomposed body lying in the bushes.
The V.I.P.D. said the victim appears to be a black female between 5 feet, 3 inches to 5 feet, 6 inches tall, weighing 135 pounds or slightly more. She was found wearing a royal blue blouse with white and pinkish flowers, and a beige-colored bra with blue dotted designs on it. She had French tip toe polish designs on her feet, the release said.
Criminal Investigation Bureau detectives are investigating the case and suspect foul play, said V.I.P.D. Director of Communications Glen Dratte. Detectives were awaiting an autopsy report to determine cause of death, he said.
