VI Consortium’s Ernice Gilbert to Interview Governor Bryan Tuesday in Third Hourlong Event Since Bryan’s Tenure
VI Consortium Founder and Publisher Ernice Gilbert will interview Governor Albert Bryan Tuesday evening at Gov’t House, representing Mr. Gilbert’s third interview with the territory’s leader since Mr. Bryan took office.
The first interview occurred in May of 2019 after Mr. Bryan took office, and the second on March 2, 2020 — days before the Covid-19 pandemic. The third will take place at Government House from 6:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m., where Mr. Gilbert is expected to query the governor on a range of topics, including expected probes on the Gov’t Employees’ Retirement System, the V.I. Water and Power Authority, among other topics affecting the territory and Virgin Islanders.
The interview will be carried live on the VI Consortium website and Facebook page.
Mr. Gilbert said he expects Mr. Bryan to be prepared to provide answers and solutions to daunting issues facing the U.S. Virgin Islands. “My expectation is that Governor Bryan will be prepared to provide straight answers to the people of the Virgin Islands,” he said. “This is our third interview in the third year of his administration, and his responses should be different from those provided during the first and second years as they should be on what he has accomplished and is accomplishing, as compared to what he intends to get done.”
The first and second interviews are here and here.
