Two Men Injured in Shooting at Paul M. Pearson Gardens, St. Thomas; One Victim Requires Emergency Surgery
Two men were shot in St. Thomas on Tuesday night at the Paul M. Pearson Gardens housing community, according to the V.I. Police Department. The victims told police that they were under a tent when an individual suddenly opened fire.
The incident occurred around 10:00 p.m., with Patrol Division and Criminal Investigation Bureau officers responding to the scene. The victims were transported to the Schneider Regional Medical Center via private transportation. Police officers subsequently traveled to the hospital to speak with the victims.
The first victim sustained a single gunshot wound to his lower back, while the second victim was struck in his chest and abdomen, requiring immediate surgery. Both victims remain hospitalized for their injuries.
