Two Arrested in St. Thomas in Connection With Recent Homicide

ST. THOMAS — The V.I. Police Department has announced the arrest of two individuals in connection with an April 20 homicide that occurred in Smith Bay.

Jeramy Lettsome was arrested for the murder of T’Quan Vanholten on May 2. Then on Tuesday, May 3 Mackadis Smith was also arrested for the murder of Vanholten.

Details of the Homicide

According to the V.I.P.D, officers were dispatched to Smith Bay near Louie’s Market at about 5:48 p.m. Wednesday, April 20 and upon their arrival, they met an unresponsive black male who sustained at least one gunshot wound to the upper body.

When emergency medical technicians arrived to the scene, they concluded that the victim had no vital signs, according to police.

He was identified by next of kin as 26-year-old T’Quan Vanholten.
