The Dept. of Education late Monday announced the dates and formats of the territory’s public school graduation ceremonies. The document shows the four high schools — Charlotte Amalie High, Central High, St. Croix Educational Complex and Ivanna Eudora Kean High — all having a mix format that sees graduates attending the events in-person, while the public will be provided with a livestream to view virtually.

Adult Education on St. Croix, the Adult Continuing Education Night Program in St. Thomas, Raphael O. Wheatley Skills Center in St. Thomas, and the Career and Technical Education Center on St. Croix will also have in-person ceremonies. However those events won’t be live-streamed; instead graduating candidates are allowed to invite guests.

All other public schools will have full virtual affairs, according to the D.O.E. document, seen here. The document provides the dates of the ceremonies as well.

The first events happen in May, beginning with both the Career & Technical Ed. and  Adult Ed. on St. Croix, taking place at 10:00 a.m. and and 4:00 p.m. respectively. They will be followed by the St. Croix High School and the St. Croix Educational Complex on May 18 and 19 respectively at 10:00 a.m.

On May 20 Ivanna Eudora Kean High will hold its ceremony, followed by Charlotte Amalie High on May 21. Both events take place at 1:00 p.m.

The Adult Continuing Education Night Program on St. Thomas will hold its event May 27, and the last ceremony, that of the Raphael O. Wheatley Skills Center, will take place June 6.

The department said it will provide information at a later date relative to in-person access for parents/guardians of students. The events will be streamed live on D.O.E.’s Facebook platform.
