Despite torrential rainfall impacting Puerto Rico and the U.S. Virgin Islands on Thursday, the long-standing tradition of Easter camping on St. Croix persisted. The rain and flooding raised concerns about whether campers would still head to the island’s beaches for the annual event. However, St. Croix’s beaches were filled with tents, makeshift kitchens, and other camping essentials, proving that nothing can stop the Easter camping tradition on the island.
Campers at Cramer’s Park on St. Croix’s east end were greeted with a beautiful sunrise on Friday morning, showing their resilience against the overcast weather projected for the weekend by the National Weather Service.
