ST. THOMAS, USVI – On April 12, at approximately 4:32 p.m., police detectives arrested 38-year-old Luis C. Cancio of Elizabeth, NJ, charging him with being a Fugitive from Justice.

Cancio was detained by Customs & Border Patrol at the Cyril E. King Airport, after it was discovered he was wanted in the state of New Jersey for a Probation Violation. He was originally charged with 2nd Degree Manslaughter in New Jersey.

Cancio was turned over to the custody of the Bureau of Corrections without bail, pending his extradition hearing.
