First Lady Yolanda Bryan, AARP VI, Dept. of Tourism Along With Stanley and the Ten Sleepless Knights to Celebrate Older Americans Month
Government House announced Friday that First Lady Yolanda Bryan has teamed up with AARP in The Virgin Islands, the V.I. Department of Tourism, the V.I. Council on the Arts-DPNR, and Stanley and the Ten Sleepless Knights to celebrate older Americans Month.
According to the release, the group will join Stanley and the Ten Sleepless Knights on Saturday, May 22, for an “ole’ time serenade” at the various senior living communities in St. Croix and continue the celebration at the various senior living facilities in St. Thomas on Saturday, May 29, and St. John on Sunday, May 30.
The serenade on St. Croix will begin at 10 a.m. on Saturday, May 22, with a presentation and performance at Wilfred Pedro Homes (Whim Gardens) in Estate Whim in St. Croix, with performances following at Herbert Grigg Home for the Aged, Flambouyant Gardens Senior Housing and Sunny Isles Elderly Housing facilities, Gov’t House said.
The serenade on St. Thomas will begin at 9:30 a.m. on Saturday, May 29, with a presentation and performance at Kirwan Terrace Community Housing, with performances following at the Queen Louise Home for the Aged and Ebenezer Gardens in Hospital Ground, as well as performances at the Lucinda A. Millin Homes and Celestino A. White, Sr., Senior Citizens Home.
May 22, St. Croix Serenade Itinerary
- 10 to 11 a.m. – Presentation and performance at Wilfred Pedro Homes (Whim Gardens), St. Croix, US Virgin Islands
